Handover IHL Clinic Report at Amnesty International NL

The Kalshoven-Gieskes Forum is proud to announce that one of our IHL Clinic teams, consisting of Leiden students Lotte Chevalier and Talitha Ramphal (LL.M. programme), Laura Hoekstra and Miranda de Mik (Honours College) and Seán McGinnity (Erasmus exchange programme), finished their four-month research on “The effectiveness of human rights monitoring: the need for a strengthened human rights component in UN peacekeeping missions”. They presented and formally handed over their 80-pages report to our cooperation partner from Amnesty International today. The supervision of the report was undertaken by the Forum’s researcher Manuela Rüegger, LL.M. and senior supervisor Arjen Vermeer, MA, LL.M., MAS. The IHL Clinic is directed by Dr. Robert Heinsch.
