Guest Researcher & Junior Supervisor

Neil Cockerill works as a guest researcher and junior supervisor of the KGF’s IHL Clinic, focusing on the Clinic’s digitally derived evidence project. Neil also conducts research on the legality of cyber-actions conducted in Jus ad bellum and Jus in bello. Neil holds an LL.M in Public International Law (specialized in International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law) from Leiden University, an LL.B (Honours) from City, University of London, and a BA in Philosophy and Law & Society from Concordia University (Montreal, Canada). Prior to joining the KGF, Neil worked with Global Legal Action Network (GLAN) as a junior researcher. Additionally, Neil also served as a Corporal in the Canadian Armed Forces (reserves) for five years.
