Assistant Professor ICL, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egyp

Dr. Ahmed F. Khalifa is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Law and International Criminal Law at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, and the Deputy Director of its legal Clinic. Since 2014, he serves as the Deputy Secretary General of the International Association of Penal Law. Furthermore, he is the Middle East Regional Coordinator for the University of Oxford Price Media Moot Court Competition.

Dr. Khalifa currently is an expert consultant with several international organizations including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the Siracusa International Institute and the ICRC in the MENA Region. Previously, he served as an in-house legal consultant with the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) in Torino, Italy.

After finishing an LL.M. on International Human Rights Law from Temple University, USA, Dr. Khalifa obtained a PhD in International Criminal Law entitled “Les techniques d’imputation devant les juridictions pénales internationales’ from Poitiers University, France.
